Has anyone used a dremel with a cut-off wheel to cut there fenders? How well does it work?

dont do it. you would go through discs like no other.

dremels are great, but not for cutting car fenders

yeah would burn them up quick ...go get sawzall or a grinder for the front and a pair of snips for the rear and make small cuts in them and then hammer it up

I tried it and a disc last about 2 inches if you are lucky. Use an angle grinder.

if you use reinforced disks you should be alright, I've used those to cut welded s.s. sheetmetal, welds are much harder than the actual material being cut btw. The material I was cutting and grinding was much thicker(1/16" min, welds were at least 1.8" thick) than what a fender is and it cut thru it like butter

.Get a 41/2" grinder and a couple cutoff wheels.

Mark two lines. Make top line where you want your fenders to be. Make bottom line about an inch or so lower.

Cut along bottom line. then about every 2-3" make a vertical cut to the top line. Grab a good pair of pliers and fold and bend to top line. should give a nice looking finish.

I would suggest a angle grinder or pneumatic cut off tool if youve got a compressor. both can be had for less than $15 otherwise i used a figsaw on mine but i didnt do the cut and fold i just cut

I just cut mine and I used some tin snips. They came out great. It made it so easy b/c I could cut small cuts.

Does the cut and fold leave a nicer look than just cutting?

Way nicer... especially if you take your time and make small cuts when going vertical. Also it will not cut the tire as bad if you stuff them hard
