Default custom headlight covers?

has anybody made or attempted to make their own tinted headlight or taillight covers? i was thinking about tinting some plexiglass by dying it and somehow attatching it in front of my headlights, by velcro or having it screwed in. any suggestions or ideas?

I have tented quite a few headlights and tail lights using VHT Niteshades. Its a transparent black spray paint and you can order it from summitracing.com for about 15$. But if you want somthing a little less permanent you can also use window tint. Just use some soapy water under the tint so you can tweak it and a squegee to get the bubbles out and a heat gun to mold it around contours.. If you need anymore help just holler at me and I will help you as best as I can... Just prep the area good if you use the paint...

First, this isn't fab - it's chat. It needs to be moved. Second, why tint headlights that already suck? IF you're going to do it, use the VHT stuff and make sure it's a VERY light tint, otherwise you're just becoming a danger to other drivers at night.

The best way to do the headlights are to get some H4 headlights and bulbs with the HD wiring harness. Then bake them and take the lens off of the headlight assy. and spray the chrome background with the Niteshades. 5 Min. epoxy the lense back and then everyone is happy. LOL
