Anybody done a custom center console? Im thinking about doing one and just want to get some ideas. Pics would be great.

 

i swapped in a late model console, only painful part is e brake. This will give your cherokee cupholders and a good place to rest your arm.

 

how hard was it to relocate the ebrake?

 

i want to make a center console that locks so i dont have to worry about my stuff when i go doorless. and i have the cup holders over the e brake and i dont really like it, but its better than not having cup holders haha. i also wouldnt mind trying to incorporate at least 1 speaker since the front speakers are in the doors. i know for wranglers they make a console with a sub in it, cant imagine it would be much different than that, but i definitely would like to make my own, mostly to save money.

 

if i can make my rear WJ disc brakes work on my XJ then im going to run the WJ parking brake handle AND the center console... i think i can make it work being mines a 5 speed and all i need is a hole...
