I have started to build the new cross member to support the lower control arms and transmission. These pics only show the brackets that hold the heim joints. I still have to fab up the center of the cross member. The center of the cross member will be removable so if I ever need to service the drive train I wont have to disassemble the suspension to do so.

You will thank yourself time and time again for making the center removable.
I recently swapped out a 4.0 in a customers XJ, and to get the two top bellhousing bolts, I had to drop the front suspension and crossmember.(TNT belly pan)
Having a removable center section would have made my day! All the LA kits I have built, have a removable center. Makes life much easier.
Some people say having a removable crossmember is a "weaker" design because it bolts together. I think 8-Grade 8, 1/2'' bolts is just fine since the shear strength of just one is 17671 lbs.
Nice work!!

The build has been going kind of slow lately due to my welder deciding to die ( Shes fixed now and back in action) and some unexpected bills have set back buying some of the parts I need to complete the suspension. In the mean time I plan on attacking a few projects that I do I have the parts for. I did a little horse trading and finally came up with 2 more seat belt harness for the rear. Here is a couple of pictures of the new tube work and mounting brackets for the harnesses.
