Default chopped top and pinched

I wanted a little something different for the ol xj so i figured chopping the top off would be kind of cool and pinching the rear would be real different. Removing the old sheet metal was the easy part ( only took an hour) however puting it back together is the challenge. The only thing left on the back of the jeep that is original is the floor and the outside skin. The rear has been narrowed about 12 inches and I'm using 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 rectangular stock to build the new framework for the bed. It will also have a working tailgate. For the outside corners of the tub I'm using aluminum corner guards off of CJ to give it a rounded look

I had originally thought about using a CJ tailgate but since I didn't have one or knew someone who did I decided to go ahead and go custom. I'm going to build it out of 1x1 square tubing and then skin it in sheet metal. I'm going to attach the sheet metal with 1/4-20x1/2 bolts. As a mater of fact I'm going to attach all the sheet metal to the new frame that way. It will mean a lot of drilling and taping but it should give it a nice finished look and will mean I will be able to remove any of the sheet metal if i would ever damage anything
