Default Choo 31 and Santa's A Pillars.......

Choo 31 made a fabrication request shortly after I finished his custom rear bumper, I did'nt realize the intrest in the item until I looked around. This set will be sent to Choo 31 for Christmas tommorrow, I'll let him decide the out come & final mounting.......I'll only suggest. Up to it Choo??

It's not rocket science.......lol..

If Choo likes them, sure.....I can add them to the website.
The visual difference is mostly having the correct tools & the shop, I also TIG welded them instead of the sloppy MIG. As far as bolting them up, I
think I have an improved fastening system over whats been shown thus far/previously as well, abit more professional.....finished looking.

Just sprayed them with black bedliner, I'll snap another pic or two before I
box them out tommorrow, they look great!

Alrighty, now that they're black, little harder to photograph.....(both our XJ's are black)....

Mounting, I'm going to send 2 different ways to fasten over to Choo, both stainless steel, one self drilling-self tapping the other will thru-bolt and can be finished off with black button head covers for a clean look. I'll let Choo decide which one he'd like to try, I'd be curious if the thru-bolt style could be hidden on the interior by the factory molding.........Up to it Choo?? I'll be counting on you for some feedback & photo's, this will give everyone non-bias feedback and a non-bias install. I'm mailing over to you today, you should see them Friday.

Hardware........

I'm thinking thru-bolting like the old rock-lizard set ups used to do would be the most secure.
Production is'nt an issue, I'd like to know how Choo likes them before I decide, may need a tweak here or there, also would like to determan the exact hardware for best install, then a quick install write up, few more pics, create the webpage and run with it...

I accept the challenge..haha. I will take pics of the install and do a little write up on how I installed them. I plan on trying to make the bolts work so they will be secure. I'm sure the self tapping screws would hold them fine but with all the vibrations they may come loose over time.

Right now I'm thinking of using the bolts and some silicone around the holes to keep water from leaking in. I'm not really sure how I'm going to run the wiring quite yet, probably run the wires under the windshield seal and then into the engine compartment without having to mess with cutting a hole into the actual seal of the windshield, then running the wires into the cab through the grommet where all the other wires feed into the cab.

I'm open to all suggestions, so feel free to chime in.
