Default Brush guard

Im a high school student and im building a couple of bumper guards for me and my buddy's XJ's but i have reached the point where I don't know what to do. Any ideas for basic bracket design? This is the most current picture of the first one. All i really know is that I want it to be very sturdy and I want it mounted underneath, also I'm planning to add 2 6in. KCs on in the 2 "outer middle" sections. also any advice for installing the lights would be awesome. Btw once the second one is done i plan on posting a full how-to guide including the sketchup drawing i made and all parts and steps with photos.

Dont want to dash your dreams but a deer is still gonna go through your radiator...now it will be more protection then nothing, strip just doesnt have the lateral strength as tubing of comparable thickness does. And it does look good. As for mounting, look at how the commercial brush guards mounted. They wrapped around the bumper and attached to the frame.

You can find some bumper bracket designs on the web easily.

I've tried searching the web and it came back with mounts going in the grille. Any mounts underneath to the frame don't seem to have sufficient pics. I'm more wondering how I should mount it to the frame ie to the bumper mounts, to where the tow hooks connect, etc. ? I know I'm gonna have to make custom brackets but I also want to do it right

the upper blue "L" brackets are on top of the bumper skin slip in between header panel and bumper, and would go back to the bumper bracket and sandwich it to the unibody.

the other blue curves go down under the bumper and bolt up where the tow hook brackets are.

there would be a little bit of alignment issues to deal with but I'm sure it could be made to line up...
