Default Battery Hold Down/No More Bunges

I finally did something to address my broken battery hold down, everytime I went to the junkyard to find a new hold down, they were in the same shape as mine was. Here is my solution

Good job! The battery hold-down on my new (to me) ’89 XJ was missing when I bought it. Picked up a universal hold-down last weekend before I realized the two T bolts in the tray are offset. $%^&* I added the hold-down to my wrecking yard shopping list (Pick Your Part right near the office) but I have a feeling I’ll wind up fabricating one. Or at least soda blasting a 'yard hold down and plate with a conversion coating.

Are you selling those? How much? I'm currently using a coat hanger to hold mine down but your device looks much better.

That looks really good, and secure, too! I know how you feel about PITA bungee cords (had them on mine since 2007).

I bought this Cherokee for my son, and this was the first fix of many, because I didn't want him 4 wheelin with a lose battery, where it could fall in the fan, or even worse start a fire
