Default Basket Mount for a flat top(no roof rack) ideas?

Hi guys, just bought my cherokee and first thing I bought for it was a Thule basket I picked up on craigslist for $50. My problem is I don't have a factory roof rack/bars. Is there any way I can mount this without buying the Thule foot/gutter pack. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just get some factory roof rack crossbars and stuff, itll be way cheaper than gutters. look on craigslist or look in a junkyard haha.

You will want the Thule or Yakima Roof bars...

1) strength
2) mounting options (dont have to drill the holes and seal it up)
3) they can be had for cheap of craigs list and ebay.
4) if you ever need to remove it

I have my entire roof rack welded to some thule bars with gutter mounts and it will support 600lbs and be solid (no it was not driven with that much weight up there)

That is my opinion
