Default arm rest mod

i was at the junk yard and i picked up this grand cherokee armrest with a cup holder built in...it works great and looks like it belongs there, its also much more comfortable. it fit very well and i like it much better then the old one

what i did was it has 3 bolt holes so i lined up the one closest to the drivers side and drilled an extra hole in the hinge and made a little plate out of metal for it to sit on and it worked great....only thing i couldnt get to work was the latch but it still works perfectly and if you really wanted to go all out you could mount the original armrest latch

i got it from a 98...there was a black leather one at the yard too but i thought it would look a little weird without the leather seats

yea man i thought it was really neat how they are built in, i figured the guys with older xj's would like it a lot too because they didnt have cup holders.. plus that arm rest is crazy comfy compared to the old one
