Default Another rear-lower quarter panel trim.

(Pics coming tomorrow, father took camera on vacation.) Alright. I've been wanting to do this for some time now, mostly because this area was so damn rusty. The herculiner was holding pieces together lol. I cut the majority of the material out (to get to good steel) and welded in some 18gauge galvanized sheet to cover the big hole. Some people say this is a key area in the unibody structure and removal of material would be harmful. Looking at it, and what I cut out, I'd have to agree, so I tried adding some bracing to make up for the removed material. I also welded the sheetmetal back together wherever I cut pinch welds off. Considering the rustyness of the pinch welds etc I believe it may even be stronger now than before. When I get more money I'll be doing extensions off my bumper to cover up all my ****ty welds and protect it from impact.
