another hitch mounted tire carrier
Well today i decided to make this, been thinking about this idea for a while and after looking at a few thread on here of ones people have made i came up with this. its pretty rugged and very solid. right now i have a 235 mounted to it i think it will look better once i get a spare 31", i made the top piece adjustable so it can except bigger tires. it can support me hanging from it no problem. should i keep it or scrap it? just thought i would use this till i can save a bit more for a bumper. let me kno what u think.

Nice...Simple...I Like It.... Cheap Solution to those of us who dont want or cant afford a rear bumper and tire carrier at the moment, but you need to do something about your license plate being hidden behind it... make a mount for the tire carrier of maybe you could offset the tire carrier to the left or right side... just my 2 cents... good job... pS what wheels are you running?

yea, iv hit my hitch a few times, but its all been on dirt and stumps and stuff so it breaks loose pretty easy, theres not to much rocks around here so im not rlly worryed about that. the only reason i left it like that is so when i swing it down (as u can see in the pic) it acts as a stop so it doesnt swing all the way down, i thought that would make it easyer opening in a tight spot.

It looks nice! Can I see some up close pics of the hinge system?
Dumb question. Did you have to weld to make this? I'd love to make a hitch tire carrier, but can't weld.
