Another Fender Cut
I know it's probably getting old, but I cut my fenders out just a while ago and had to share it. I started out using a cutting wheel grinder, then I'd use the tin snips and cut a straight line to the grinder cut and section it off. It was really easy to do. Then I put black weather stripping along the cut and gave it a clean look (picked it up from Advance Auto for like 10 bucks). It comes in black or chrome, whichever you prefer. As of right now, I did not cut the back, I've only got three pics of the front (before, during and after). The first few are with my 30" BFG All-Terrains and some junk "chrome" rims but in a day or two I'll have new ones up with new black rims and 33" Swampers. Got any questions or suggestions on how to do the rear fenders holler at me! Oh and sorry for quality of pictures, took em with my phone. Enjoy!

how much lift do you have? doesnt look like you cut enough to clear 33's.
as for the rear...cut and fold. like this.
This is for the rear. Make your slices between the pinch welds. Pinch welds are easy to identify once you take the flares off. If you can not see them. Run some sandpaper around the wheel well and they will appear.

yea its a two inch. we put the tires up to it after we cut and I got room. So after the cut and fold in the back, do I have to weld anything or what did you do?

nope no welding needed.
I cant tell from the pics but youll probably have to cut more after you put 33s on. especially at a turn you might rub.
I cut my fronts all the way back and through the fender mounting bolt on the bottom. mine tuck just right now with 4.5"

i got the rear fender cut this past weekend. took off the flares, sanded up to find the pinch welds, cut of the lip, then started cutting in between the pinches. pretty easy, make sure to wear safety glasses, i didnt think i needed them but then i ended up with metal shavings in my eyes. also helps to have someplace warm, trying to cut straight while shivering is pretty hard work. but anyway, after about ten or twelve cuts, i folded back all the metal and hammered it in. rubber mallet works great for this! some paint chipped, but im going to get a new paint job anyway. so after all this i put the tires back on and it looks awesome. no scrub at all and i've got 33's on a 2" budget lift! here's the finished product in the rear. enjoy!

Looks good. I see you're in Monroe? I was outside last Saturday replacing the hub assembly. I went from wearing a t-shirt and jeans to it snowing right after I finished that afternoon. Talk about the weather here....haha

Yea man. I made the trip back to Raleigh for the holidays sense I'm done with school for this semester and there were cars all over the place.
