so jus the other day i saw a roof rack on a 2 door made out out of 2 inch sqaure aluminum tube and 2 inch aluminum angle i like the idea because of the weight difference but wondering if it would be sturdy enough i mean to hold some hella lights a high lift jack a spare and maybe and air tank i dont think it would be an issue just throwing the idea out there wondering what you guys think cause i priced out the aluminum material and i liked the numbers so lemme know what you think

aluminum is a lot stronger than what your thinkin, they wouldnt build aluminum car trailers if they werent strong enough. a aluminum roof rack would be a great idea

I agree. i wouldn't if me and my friends dad built a 2nd story deck usin trex board and a aluminum sub structure to tie it together in three pieces. and the railing post mounts were all aluminum. it wouldn't budge. its way strong stuff. for how light it is.

ok now in your parts list when you have 3 1" sticks (10 foot) and 6 3/4" sticks (5 foot) do you mean 3 10 foot peices and 6 5 foot pieces? or does the total length of all 3 pieces equal 10 feet? and is the total length for 6 pieces equal 5 feet?
