Quote: good job. but why the bend in the arms? will they not contact the floor on up travel?
i only ask this cause i will be extending the radius arms for my build to reach my long arm cross member, but never considered a bend.
how much of the original ford radius arm did you leave and what did you use to weld them together?
Well, I didnt build the arms and yes they hit the frame...

Bending radius arms is a way to set the pinion angle, I'm sure they worked fine for the previous owner. I dropped the crossmember an 1" to set my driveline where I need it and to clear the arms.

URE run this weekend, if all goes well I'm going to the Jamboree on the 18th.

Not sure I can swing the gas to make it to the Gulches too...

Gulches will be far more fun than the Jamboree. I promise.

It's actually the 10th-12th. I'll just be there on the 11th.

"Axle" Preformed Flawless for the shakedown

The Jeep, however, blew an O-Ring on the FPR... Fixed it and drove it home.

That's it for the HP D44 Build. If anyone wants picture or has questions let me know!
Back to the original thread in my Sig now.

I'm very satisfied with the amount of articulation the front has. The Brake lines are part of my limiting factor right now. Also, the Radius Arms are acting as a bump stop so my tires don't even come close to my fenders.

I need to adjust my steering stops in a little bit, on a full lock the tie rod will hit the track bar but other than that no turning issues.

Jeep did good for a year and a half with the Ford Radius Arm setup.

However, it was lacking so I went for a 3 link:
