you defiantly could, but you'd probably be better using a hack saw with a fine-toothed metal cutting blade on the aluminum. i haven't done much homebrew stuff with the jeep, but back in high school we had a metal working class (called "jewelery" because they didn't want it to seem like a guys only class and everything we made had to be wearable), and we had jig, punches, hacksaws, sheet metal rollers, the whole nine yards. i found it much easier with a hack saw because it was easier to control smaller pieces than with a jig.

yeah ill try the hacksaw but if that dont work cause its like 1/8th'' alum. than i will deff go to a jig saw or band saw!!

hacksaws, in my eyes, are the manual equivalent of a SawzAll; you can use it for anything! lol.

jig saw works pretty good and if u clamp it to a pice of ply wood it will clean the blad as u cut (cut threw the ply wood and alum..
