Default 1950 GMC Bumper

My specialty is repurposing junk! Here is my fab of a bumper out of the frame of an old junk pickup I have sitting in my pasture. It's cheap. Just a few cutoff wheels from Bomgaars and a couple hours of cuttin and welding. It's not quite done yet, I plan on adding some tubing and cutting the bottom of the front fenders and wrapping it around later, but this is all I could do right now. I have an old stock rack out back that I am going to get the tubing from and I am going to make the rest of it into a roof rack.

Default RECYCLE!

Dude! That's actually pretty dang cool! I, too, love the "recycling" method!

Pretty cool. As long as you don't plan on recovery, it should be good to go.

Its just a DD so don't really have to worry about recovery. It is mounted with the stock mounting brackets off the original bumper. Thanks for the feedback. I'll post pics of further work on it when I get to it. Don't have a lot of time to work on it so I gotta do it in stages.

I was looking forward to poking fun when I read your thread title but that looks pretty good.

Do you plan to trim the fenders and add a piece to go back beneath the fenders?

Yes, I welded up ALL the holes. I got pretty good at it. I am going to cut the bottom of the fenders and add pieces underneath the blinkers. Then add some tubing on top to make a brush guard/critter gitter.

I barely have enough time to work on my own stuff, no way I could make some to sell. I still need to finish this one, then start on the roof rack. Then do some more lift work, etc....... You get the picture.

That came out pretty good. Especially making it out of an old truck frame. I do like it.
Good Job
