Modifications by Mother Nature (salt-spray from ocean and storm floods)
Roof rusted out.
Rockers rusted out and non-existent
Side mirrors fell off
Vent windows fell out.
My Mods;
Tar and fabric roof replacement.
Rubber molding on rusted rocker edges to avoid bloody shins and feet while entering/exiting vehicle.
...And then this happened during Hurricane Irene. The wind pushed the water out of the bay. Little did I know it was on it's way back with a vengeance. Drove into the dry bay and ended up in a sink-hole, stuck. Then the surge of water came in fast. Had to abandon it. The roads also flooded so there was no help to be had. The storm surge topped 15 feet above normal that night..
By next morning the Jeep had pivoted 180* and was facing the tempest. If I had left it in neutral it may have washed back to shore.
These pictures are not the ocean but the Sound. The ocean is on the other side of island.

Back when my jeep was bone stock, I went wheeling with a few friends one night and misjudged where I was on a hill. Went to go down the hill only to find out it was washed out. Once I started going down the hill there was no stopping. My front end caught and about rolled end over. The only damage I thought I had was a broken turnsignal and a dented door and rocker. Turns out I bent my tierod, lower passenger side control arm bracket and what else I said. My jeep sat on its front end over night, The next day 2 of my buddies with winches, winched me back up the hill. I let it sit for about 15 minutes after looking over the engine and radiator so the oil can drain back down. My jeep fired right up and I drove it home.

This is Jerry!
1989 Cherokee Sport
144k Miles 4.0 Straight Six
Aw4 Transmission
Np231 Transfer Case
Dana 30 CAD front axle 3.55 gearing
Dana 35 3.55 gearing
1" tcase drop
4" pro comp lift
31x10.5r15 falken & yokohama tires
Stock aluminum 10 hole wheels with rivets
Homebrew Sliders
Stock Brush guard & tire carrier
(Had a Smittybilt XRC winch bumper at the time of the "Almost Rolled It" event)
My dad, Sister, Brother and I drove down to Hungry Valley near LA for a 4x4 Training Adventure. One of the last things we did on the first day was an Off-Camber "reality check" that involved driving sideways across various grades up to 30 degrees. That part wasn't bad, but right after that part you had to turn down towards the bottom of the hill. My front driver tire fell into a rut causing us to pitch even further off camber. I was already nervous enough, but that was when I learned what "pucker factor" was. Luckily I had enough momentum to keep moving through the turn and ended up safely on level ground.

Guys, please remember that when this is over I will REQUIRE that high resolution/good quality photos be sent to me to go in the Calendar. Please be prepared to do so. If not, I'll replace your picture in the calendar with a picture of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee.
Due to lack of interest we only have 4 entries this month...

Voted. And to Steve. I lost my first Subaru in Hurricane Irene....which is how I ended up getting a Jeep. Funny how things end up. Hurricane Irene was crazy. I was in the area too for Hurricane Isabel a number of years back. Know all to well how those sounds fill up fast during a storm surge.

Do you even have any pictures of any vehicles on land? Haha jk, that's crazy though. I remember on spring break this past year me and a few buddies went to Corolla. When we were driving on the beach these two morons had rented a Focus. After me and my buddies dug them out of the very loose sand they were stupid enough to take that thing on, we headed back, them behind us, and they were driving in the surf (we had to go through it a time or two because it was the day after a storm and the tide was coming in). At one point they had the damn thing in about a foot of salt water. I have no idea how they didn't lose that freaking thing.
