It's be cheaper to double the 231.

There is a lot to be said for a bolt in lower t-case gear. There is right much work involved in doing the doubler.. especially if you do a flat skid like I did. Also I would buy the Billet box that Duffy sells now.

231 case for sun gear and planetary 150
duffy Billet case 699
2 xj front D/S 100
Having d/s cut down and lengthend 125
Cables and clevis for shifters 90
8' 1.75x.120 dom for skid (have to buy 20') 90
1254

It is lower cost at buy in, but these are real numbers in doing it. ALo plan on Misc hardware.. and cutting and consumables. I had about 25 hrs labor in doing it as well.

I too wish I had a Terra Low 4to1 the 7.4 is too low.. and the 2.7 isnt enough. I am looking into adapting a set of Yota case to my AX15. Thinking a 2.8 toa 4.7 ase would be epic in my rig for slow speed stuff

It looks like the right guy is gonna win this month. I appreciate all my votes so far though fellas.

Lowrange and Ping, I'd definitely be down for a future trip. I need to get a new tow rig situation lined out before anything. Looking to purchase a new one within the next couple months though.

The thing to do is rent a uhaul 3/4 ton van for in town. hook a simple brake controller up.. and go for it. Place to sleep, and a tow rig that you only pay for when you need it

I am have pretty much chose the cove campground as my wheeling spot. I might make a trip to Rausch if I can find the right ppl wanting to ride.. same goes for Harlan.
