Post up ideas here for unique themes you'd like to see in the COTM contest.

ie. Doorless, Stock Height, Exocage, Long arms, Short Arms, etc etc

 

I keep PMing Andy every month for ideas but he doesn't respond

 

My most recent suggestion for theme was "playing in the water" for April. U know how "April showers bring May flowers "

 

I know, I'm an *******.

I see them. I hear them.

The only issue with very specific themes is this:
90% of the time it's hard to get 5 decent entries. Much less 5 decent entries that follow the theme. I end up having 2 guys that fit the theme with good entries, 2 guys that have decent entries that don't fit the theme and 6 people who must have been stoned out of their mind when they took their pictures and made their entry.

I like the themes. I want people to participate in the themes. I want it to work but it usually doesn't. Even when we have a good entry that fits the theme people still don't vote for that rig because it fits the theme. People vote for their buddy with the horrible driveway shots...

I like the water crossing theme. I even have a few pictures I could enter in this one.

Keep the ideas flowing.

Next thing we know we're going to have to do a poll for people to vote on the theme for the following month. lol

Also, if you've noticed the banner hasn't updated... I'm working on it. Out of my control.

Should do themes for like 33 to 37s
And then do another 38 and up

 

Because there's like 2 rigs on the whole site running larger than 37's.

9 times out of 10, ye who has the largest tires wins anyway.

 

Split them up in smaller groups 33-35s that way there isn't much difference

 

yeah that's really annoying lol

 

Usually, the only time I've considered making a theme a tire size was 31's and down since the little guy doesn't usually stand a chance at winning against someone on 35's... just because.

 

1) Best custom interior
2) Rollover Carnage
3) Oh ***** Moments
4) XJ's winching or towing out Wranglers (Should be lots of these pics)
5) Deep water crossings
6) Or none of the above

Loving the water crossing theme.... I've got some pics for that one.

I have a few ideas to try and help get the underdogs/newbies involved.

1) 2wd
2) Stock suspension (so OTHER mods would be okay)
3) BONE STOCK - I.E. no visual/suspension mods (sound systems, exhaust, engine mods, and little odd n' ends would be okay)
4) Lightly modified (this one may be tough to determine stipulations on)

 

I like the custom interior idea.
