I recently picked up someone else’s project (I know). 1990 YJ that the previous owner put a rebuilt late 80’s 360 in. Problem is, after driving for about 30-40 minutes it becomes incredibly hard to shift into any gear, and will whine only when engaged. Shifts out just fine. Longer it’s driven the more it smells of gear oil. Dropped clutch and tranny to investigate...seems fine.
Any thoughts? Could really use some new opinions. Thanks!
