Timing belt question????

Default Timing belt question????

All the marks are lined up both cams and crank , old belt marks will not line up with the timing marks correct ? Been a while since I done a belt and just want to make sure . Thanks

Some belts have timing marks on the belt, is that what you are talking about? If so dont worry about it as long as you have the gears lined up on their marks. Put the slack of the belt on the tensioner side too and if reusing a belt then make sure its spinning the same way as it did before.

Thanks for the reply . Just hate when I can't remember things . It's getting every thing tensioner tensioner pulley idler pulley pump and belt .

once its on and the pin is out of the tensioner I would roll the crank over twice (by hand) and make sure it all still lines up, especially if its interference.
