Have to change the wheel hubs on my 2002 1500 suburban. Bought the autozone cheap Duralast wheelhubs. Cost 135.00. So I take it out and it is very hard to turn it by hand. Is this normal. Is there a breakin period. Will it get better as it is driven or is it too tight. Should I take it back. I have to do both sides so we are talking about 270.oo I dont have the money right now to by a better one. And I am going to sell this vehicle in 2 years. So I am not wanting to buy a more expensive one. Will the other ones be just as hard to turn by hand?

it should have an even amount of drag through entire rotation. if its stiff in one spot theres an issue.

Are you trying to turn them uninstalled? If so, yes they will be hard to turn. Once you get them installed with the tire and wheel back on try spinning the tire. The tire should spin freely with very minimal drag.

Update. The first hub was really hard to turn. I got one for the other side as autozone only had one and had to transfer it in is way better. The two hubs were not even same. Each had different lugs and the good one had a covering on the back side and bad one did not. I am taking the bad one back tonight. In the pictures the bad one is on the right.

Ha ha. The picture with me behind my jeep wasn't suppose to be in there. I am posting off my iPhone and the screen is very sensitive.
