I have three jeeps. I am planning on fixing my 87 YJ by replacing the original 4.2L w/ the 4.0L that i have in an 89 XJ. This is where I am in over my head! a) will the 89 4.0L bolt up to my stock 87 automatic tranny in the YJ? b) Will the intake off of the 4.2L fit the 4.0L? c) Will the motor mount location remain the same? d) Can you see any other problems or has anyone done this swap? Any info. would be much

If it's not a daily driver and you can take your time doing the job, you should use both engines and make the 4.0 a stroker motor.
