Default My Custom paintjob on a Tacoma

I am somewhat new on this website, and a few of you have seen the photos of my Jeep. I am a custom painter of highend motorcycles. My career started at Titan Motorcycle. Now with 4300 custom bikes within my resume, now I paint only as a hobby of friends vehicles. (I am only painting 4x4s, dirtbikes, and quads.

Let me show you this weekend's project. This is my graduation gift for a family member's son.

Here is the Tacoma sanded down and prepped.

Then I shot sealer, then a coat of silver for the graphics. This is gerber paper to cut out the graphics out backwards. (Just watch to see how it is done).

Then you spray the outer color, wait for it to dry, and peel the gerber paper. Then you shadow the silver to create the detail. Like this.

Custom paintwork and daycare service. This girl will be the future custom painter. She already has the artistic eye to do detailed crafts WITHOUT instruction.

Learning from the profesional.

I like the cherokee too. First cherokee i've seen with realistic flames like that.
Did you do the cherokee also?

Yeah, that is my Cherokee. I painted that a year ago. Within the next 30 days, I will scuff the Cherokee, and add more artwork to it. More skulls, more flames, and a ton more depth on the flames already on it. Plus add some purple candy at the whisps to make it look a bit more realistic.

flames are so nice.

i want to ask something. usually we apply metallic paint with desired color in it and then we apply clear coat. on custom paint jobs, we use silver then a colored final coat. why is this? actually i need to compare them.
