Default lifting geo tracker.. lol

Buddy of mine is wanting to lift his geo tracker with a 3" inch body and 3" suspension lift. And I'd imagine he's gonna want at least 33s on it.. My questions are.. first will those axles hold up to 33s or more? and will the damn thing even pull itself with that big of tires? I've got my guesses but I'm thinking not without a regear.. Also what other problems could he run into? like maybe the shifters... any help will be appreciated!

^^ Not that I would do it, its just not as uncommon as one might think. They have a similar resemblance to the Suzuki Samurai even had it's engine in the early models.

To OP: The axles will probably hold up on 33s especially if it holds the 4.62 gear ratio that some had. My neighbor has some Suzuki's on Stock axles running 33s and I think even one has 35s. I can't really help you much more than that unless I did some in depth research, but hope it helps.

Also, posting the year might help get an answer.

Yeah they are actually a very stout little rig. I have a friend with one on 33's stock axles and a TD conversion in it.

I've seen this huge redneck guy drive one on 35s, flip it in a field, lift it back up on all 4s by himself, and drive off in it. They are small tanks.

The sammis and trackers are pretty much one in the same... VERY stout and reliable (which i dont understand how) but he should have no problem running those 36's with a slight re-gear. There is a guy that runs with us sometimes who has a sammi on full witdths, hydro steer, and still has a 1.6 geo motor!!! Its a monster!

Isee sammi's running 33s on stock axles all day long. A lot of them sammi guys put under the 80-85 toyota axles if running 35's or larger. I'd trade my jeep for a sammi in a heart beat lol.
