Liberty?
How many of you guys also have a Liberty?
I know KJ's are exactly "cool" with serious Jeep guys, but I'm still torn between buying an XJ or a KJ. I've always wanted an XJ, but am feeling like I may have waited a little too long. The newest ones are 10yrs old already and I'm having a hard time paying the price for a good one...
Whichever I buy, it will be my daily driver. 4x4 will probably only be used to get me out of the driveway in the winter time or back to my hunting spot in the fall. I'm not into wheeling my daily driver.
I'm looking for some good, ol' fashioned, honest feedback from someone who owns or has owned both vehicles. The single most important feature to me is reliability. Everything else is a distant second.
What say you, Jeepsters?

In my opinion i would go with the XJ not just because i have and besides the fact that i love it. I have not heard good reveiws about the Libertys. For example people tell me that their ball joints go around 40,000 miles. http://www.ehow.com/list_6916818_sig...p-liberty.html

I have an XJ and a KJ, and my sister has a KJ, for a DD I personally like the KJ better at stock height. Especially in the snow the KJ is much heavier and does much better then the XJ while just staying in 2HI.
If you want to lift and wheel then switch to the XJ.
I love both of my XJ and KJ, and was torn to which to keep, so I kept both!
Also the liberty has much less aftermarket support then the XJ.
Heres the 06 KJ:
Full skids, Manik brush guard with Hellas, D-ring recievers, Rola roof racks with lights front and back, class III hitch etc.

For a plain DD, go with the newer-than-any-XJ-Liberty, and be satisfied. 10 years really does alot to a truck.
Esp if you don't plan on a lift or heavy wheeling, the Liberty is the way to go.
Warranty is a big thing.
My wife and I will be getting one pretty soon, but I'll only let her pick a Renegade with fogs on the bumper and the roof lights.
Maybe I'll do a 2" BB, but not necessary.

I have a XJ and love it. Easy to work on and more after market support. My wife has a KJ and she loves hers too. Hers has about 65,000 miles of warranty left, and does a little better on fuel. If you are buying it to drive and not wheel I would get a KJ. If you want to off road or put cool do dads on it I would get the XJ.
