96 XJ Sport

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me to pass along to my friend who is contemplating buying a TJ? He test drove it today, a 2000 TJ with the 2.5L, 5 speed, 4wd, only 40K miles, all stock and in great shape. Never been wheeled. He thinks he can get it for around $6K. Oh, and it has no A/C. It would be an extra vehicle for him to tool around in at the lake (no towing) and drive to work topless on nice days. I will, of course, try to talk him into some wheeling.

What do you all think? Seem to fit his intended purpose well? Any watch outs?
