Hey guys, wanted to see if you could help me out here. I have a friend that has an '03 Liberty. He says his gas mileage has decreased down to about 14 MPG - has a bad smell to it - 107k miles - CEL code stating 171 bank1 - he's never replaced 02's or fuel filter (i advised him to replace that right away)

anyone know what the code for 171 bank1 is and also what the interval for changing fuel filters on the liberty is?

My wifes libby said the same and which when I hooked it up to my code scanner it said coil pack4 misfire autozones came up the same so changed all coil packs and gas mileage is bk to 20mpg that's with the lift n tires n rims along with the extra weight of a roof rack full size spare

yeah, the bum sold it before I could get an answer back.... traded it in for an Altima... I'm a fan of the altima's, but still, if he would have dropped a little bit of cash in the libby, it would have been fine.
