this is my dads "57" Chevy pickup he bought it when he was 15 and finally gonna be done this summer at 45. when i was little it was running and he drove it around but the body was horrible so when he get to be friends with a body man they trade work to get her done. she's called the Frankenstein cause she's not really a 57 i asked my dad what all their was in her and i lost track after about the 15th item, i'll do my best though so the cab and passenger door is a 57 Chevy, drivers door is a 56 GMC, the front clip is a 59 Chevy, the engine is a 327 bored out to a 329 out of a 67 impala i believe, the tranny (4 speed), steering column and tail gate is out of a 60 something Chevy pickup, the frame is a 73 blazer, the yellow steering column is from a hay baler, and the seats are out of a 2006 Yukon plus lots of custom cutting and fab work. all the he has left is some interior work and wiring and 30 years of work will be done finally, but anyways here she is,

Agree, Some Cragar's or other vintage style wheels would = win.
My favorite era are the late 40's-early 50's Chevy trucks, and the 67-72. But still a nice looking truck.

take those toyota v8 badges off the fenders. that just ruins it.. the 327 badges explain enough. that looks like a ford metallic brown that came on king ranch trucks

nice catch on that. the paint he used is a metallic pearl paint or something but any ways it's a very touchy paint and for some reason their was an imperfection in the paint on the left side. he liked those ones so he put them on to cover it up. i personally don't like the brown the best but it's his favorite color and it turned out pretty good anyways.

my dad took the truck to a local car show a couple weeks ago and won a sponsor award from one of the local Chevy dealers. probably the most excited I've seen him in a long time. a few people even offered to buy it from him cause it was 4x4.
