Ford F-150 Lightning
Hey guys, I really been liking Ford SVT Lightings lately. They got 5.4 Supercharged V8, around 380hp, and they just look cool...I really wanna get one (I guess its the getting close to 40 crisis )I found a 2003 for 10k. Anyway, How do y'all think these do gas mileage-wise?

i really love the svt lightings,i want one so bad! but with the 5.4 youll get about 22mpg if maintained really well, but with the S/C,it will be hard to keep your foot outa the pedal,so i would just guess about 17-18mpg,maybe less but that all depends on how you drive

They are a pretty cool truck. My friend averages around 18MPG in his mixed city/highway. He drives a little more with a heavy foot than some but not crazy. Go for it! I have an 03 SVT Cobra and love the whine the supercharger puts out when I step in it, it is very addictive.

Under no circumstances will that thing get 22mpg. It won't even get 17. I have a well maintained 1997 5.4L in a standard 4x4 F150 that on a spectacular day and being driven like a grannie, can get 16. Normal driving going the speed of traffic, it gets maybe 13. Add a blower and head south from there.

Wrong. With tuning and a light pedal foot you could get up to 20mpg in a lightning. Those 2v 5.4 v8's are gas hogs. The 4v's are more fuel efficient.
