If you get one, don't fart around with the 302. Go 351 or bigger. Other than that, plan on buying a lot of seals and gas.

Broncos are awesome especially the full size. Its too bad they dont fit down any trails within a few hundred km of here.
Even the bronco IIs are pretty sweet, but the 70s ones with the removable top is the way I'd go. Its the best part of a TJ and a XJ were morphed together to make one truck. Too bad they're valued so high or I'd buy one over the XJ.

they went from 66-77 with the smaller style then 78 &79 they made them fullsize, then in 80 they changed bodystyle again and kept that style from 80-86 (i think) and then changed a couple things for 87-90, and then changed a couple more things from 91-96 when they stopped making them. I had an 89 and I loved it, except for the transmission. it had the stupid mazda 5 spd in it and it had nothing but problems with the tranny. other then that I loved it.

Broncos are awesome, wish I still had my 86 was probably one of the best 4wds I've had yet. It was a 302EFI, 4sp (gotta love a "Granny Gear"), D44 TTB, 9", and factory 4.10 gearing.

Those are 35x12.50 Mud Rovers on 15x10s with no lift at all, only slight rubbing, nothing serious enough to even scratch the tire.

I had a couple also. My first one was an 85 rusty but free. My 83 I still miss, 302, c6, 4" suspension, solid axle conversion(dana44) 4.88, 1" body lift, 37" MTRs, 9" rear locked. I sold it to get my XJ. Only vehicle I made money on, but still regret it.
