what's that thing behind the cab?

 

Looks like one of the old fiberglass roll bar replacements that were popular back in the 80s. Several trucks had them as it was a popular thing to do. If I'm right then it is aftermarket.

 

I've never seen one extend all the way over the roof though... and I never knew they made one factory or aftermarket for the comanche

 

anyway it looks really cool..

 

Looks sweet. I wish they sold Comanches in my area worth buying. Whenever I find one it's all rotted out.

 

I the only one that noticed how the moron called it a 'v-6 4.0'? lol appariently MJ's had a mid-90's Ford motor in them...

 

It's a Lund Racer Back. There were a few different versions. One had the piece that goes up over the cab like that. They are pretty rare these days though.

But I certainly wouldn't call it a roll-bar anything....

 

yeah just all for looks... im not to fond of them myself though... lol

 

I don't like that thing that goes from the bed and extends over the roof. It looks weird. I'd rip that thing off and put in a roll bar with off-road lights. Then it would be functional and look good.

A roll bar would be a lot cooler. That thing looks like a baseball hat for your truck. I can see why those are not popular anymore.
