Arrow Dash setup question

We recently purchased a 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk. The center of the electronic speedometer allows you to select various data points like Outside temperature, time, etc. I selected Range to empty. The value that is coming up seems to be increasing rather than dropping as we drive the vehicle. Does this sound like a software glitch?

Is it noticeably increasing constantly? Or just barely depending on your driving scenario i.e. from traffic light to traffic light or highway driving. I've noticed one of my vehicles Distance to empty display will go up after I get on the highway and get at a good cruising speed.... It takes the amount of fuel in the tank and calculates in the current MPGs to give the Distance to empty, so if your MPGs go up slightly, so will the distance to empty....

The gauge initially read that the Distance to empty was 78 miles on a full tank of gas. Since driving about 100 miles, the DTE has increased to about 157 miles. It appears to climb a mile at a time in sync with the distance traveled.

yeah.... that doesn't sound like what I was describing at all.
I wonder if wires being swapped somewhere is causing some kind of "reverse polarity", if you will, of the signal coming in....
