I used to daily drive my a 2004 M3 with mods lol got 32mpg on the interstate when I used cruise control. but then again it got as bad as 8mpg on the autocross lol. I was just trying get a feel for if he is like me where I cant leave a car stock.
i would say a e30 bmw would be fun to have.

I can't leave anything alone either , I find parts used and start modden get to a point and say that's it ! I auto crossed years back I just have not got back into it. I'm hunting another DSM but all I have found are striped out shells , I want A/C and heat !!

Lol no most likely will not stay stock. I found a pretty nice twin turbo stealth awd with only 119k on it not too far away. Guy wants 5g though :/ only have 4 to spend. Lol.

EDIT: sorry didn't see you only had 4 or so to spend im asking a wee bit over that

Bought the tt stealth. got the girl from 5g to 3g.

117k miles. awesome condition not a spec or rust. paints clean and no dents. only problems are check engine light and ac compressor isnt there.

as far as the check engine goes, it idles really low and stalls whlie cold only. once warmed up its fine. exhaust leak, and sensors should fix this. not bad for 5 grand. im lovin it haha

She had them replaced with new stock turbos when she bought it 3 years ago. That's all the info I know. They work well. Boost is turned down under stock right now to run regular gas. I'll change that haha. I'll probably put better turbos in too at some point.
It does however have a pretty sweet Bo valve

alot of people here jsut turn the cars off after running them hard and forgot to let the oil cool the bearings in the turbos.

It's got a turbo timer. Automatically will stay on for 30 seconds after turnin the key off

I owned and operated my own big truck (Kenworth T600) we never kill them big ***** without cool down. I had a turbo timer on my cars I wish I had one on my pick up the egts get stupid sometimes I hate waiting for it to cool down to atleast 400*.
