So I kinda have a new project. My mom got a cj5 so they can try and out wheel the XJ. lol It has been sitting a long time but the body is strait and clean. The floor boards need to be cut out and new ones welded in but thats all the easy stuff. My question is is how do i determine what year it is? it has a V6 nd I belive a D44 in the rear and a D27 in the front. But no vin number it looks like a serial number. Does anyone know how to get a build sheet on it? I know there is a crap load of info out there but its all the same stuff about year changes but i cant find casting numbers or anything like that. Ill post up the numbers on the block when the suns up and i can see. lol Thanks

 

where the gas tank located. if it`s a duantless 225 buick the it`s between 67 -74 i THINK in 72/73 they move the wiper motor inside the windsheild frame . noramally the vin plate is located by the master cylinder.

 

The tank is in the rear. The wipers are on the windsheild frame.

 

if it`s the buick v6 thats a torky motor i`d say 73/74 modul how about some pics ?

Yea should be the bw 3spd. Its probably somewhere between 65 and 73

 

I havent had time to work on it or even look at it latly. I hurt my shoulder and Im bouncing from doc to doc. Ill keep you guys posted on when I can get under her again. Thanks
