Default Chevy s10 no start

The battery is fine, tested fine under load. The connections WERE very corroded, but we sanded them down and they look a lot better. The lights and everything are getting power but right as you turn the key, we only get a click. No crank no anything. My dad said the alternator was starting to fail so we bought a new one. But now the car won't start (old alternator still in vehicle). We are thinking the starter but we can't even see it with out a jack. Going to tow it home and get a jack under there. If anybody has any past experiences please shoot some advice our way. We would appreciate it. In the mean time I'll talk my dad into buying a jeep Cherokee!

You may be right about thinking that it's the starter. Once you get to where you can get to the starter. Get a hammer and give it a hit. Not a hit that it will snap anything just a few light taps sometimes it will getting unstuck. But if it does help it. Plan on changing it out.
Good Luck

Working on taking it out right now. The connections on it looked pretty corroded. Going to clean em up and toss it back in, see where that takes it. The odd thing is usually with my past experiences with starters it usually drags out. Not die all at once.

Before you put it back it in. Ground the starter and run a cable from the battery and see if it spins and not locked up. You can do it with some jumper cables.

Giving some feed back is ALWAYS appreciated!

Yes we did. I wasn't there, but my dad hooked up the starter like you recommended, and it was
Going. My dad cleaned the connections at the starter (they were very bad) and hooked it back up. He said he then tried starting it and it didn't work... He then cracked open a beer and tried starting it again. It fired right up. But it seems
As though the alternator still needs to be replaced. But the no start issue was due to bad connections!
