If you can't get it into a safe environment, I'd put it on cinder blocks and put the tarp under car. The ground below the car will stay wet and help speed up the rusting process.
Like Dougy said, I'd focus on college. But if you think you can handle a side project I'd look at it this way, your Jeep isn't going anywhere. Even if you flipped it 12 times you could replace it relativity easily.
The Satellite on the other hand, its prone to rusting out and becoming something that isn't even project worthy anymore. And to find another one that isn't too far gone to work on would be difficult.
So with all that said, if I were you and I had the option between which project to start on, I'd go with the Satellite. You don't see very many on the road and with them probably being around twice your age, it isn't going to get any easier.

I vote satellite. Jeep is already going. Get that mopar on the road. You don't have to go all out now. If you get it running/driving it will be a back up vehicle if jeep brakes or needs an upgrade. What drive train do you have in it?
Originally it was a 318 poly/904, but both were too far gone. I pulled the distributer and the shaft broke in two, inside there was all kinds of white I don't know what, the tranny was the same way. I have a 360 small block out of a 1978 Power Wagon that's completely solid but I wanna at least go through it before I throw it in the car. I have a friend who owns a shop and deals in almost exclusively Mopar that said he'd sell me a 4 speed for it, so that's what I'll be going with. Has a Chrysler 8.75 under the rear

Sweet, I got a 360 im buiding to go in my barracuda. I build my 273 block at home, honed it, hot tanked, bearings, gaskets, paint, and comp cam. I got about $400 into it. Then theres the intake and carbs! Got $1000 into that. Just do a little at a time.

So here's how it looks like I'm going to go about this. I'm going to do some things to the Jeep this summer, and anything extra that don't go towards the Jeep will go towards Satellite parts. When I have enough stuff to do something to the Satellite (like when I get all the patch panels/trunk pans etc.) I will get that part of it done. I have a friend that's a Mopar expert I guess you would say, to help me out along the way. Thanks for y'alls input!!!
