Drift boats allow fishermen to fish waters that are really shallow ( about 1 foot deep). Only the middle part sits in the water and you row it while 2 people up front fish. You can anchor and fish. Or run a small motor. Complicated little boats

i've got a 1976 boston whaler montauk 17'. i got it for free with the engine about 6 years ago and it was in pretty sad shape, it was actually my first project before i got into jeeps since i got the boat when i was 15. i cleaned it up the best i could, painted it inside and out and got the 60hp yamaha four stroke running, it not to fast but awesome on gas.

i don't use my jeep to pull it since i haul boats professionally and using my work rig is way easier.

16 foot aluminum flatbottom with a Johnson 25 electric start. Had SeaRays, Bayliners, and Fish-n-Ski's - good boats, but wanted something simple to own/fish/haul. Cheap, easy shallow-water capable boat that I don't freak out when I bump something, LOL. Last "bump" in the SeaRay cuddy cabin cost me a couple of grand and a tow to shore.

this summer, i saw a guy tag a ledge that was only about 4 inches under in a cuddy cabin and it jumped outta the water pretty good and i gave him a tow in....and he gave me no tip! maybe he was saving money for some fresh fiberglass and a new L drive lol!!!
