Default I like fast trucks.

Figured I'd post a bit of info on a truck that me and my friend built along with some friends that own a shop down in the valley of TX.

It started out as an 08 Chevy 1500 single cab. 5.3L V8, 4L60 trans, and had the G80 posi in the back. We bought it for $14k from a gentleman near San Antonio and it came with MSD wires, shorty headers, an intake, and an exhaust.

The truck was pretty fast and could bust the tires loose at 30 MPH if you floored it, however my friend and I had plans for it that involved a bit more since he had been wanting a really nice project.

We took out the 5.3 and the 4L60 in favor for something a little different-

6.2L LS3-
Ported/polished L92 (Cathedral Port) heads
Port-matched GM truck intake
Livernois l92 stage 1 cam
Comp Cams harden pushrods
918 Comp Cams springs
25% underdrive pulley
Pacesetter long-tubes ceramic coated
82lb RC injectors
TRE 255LPH fuel pump
Airaid cold air intake
MSD wires
NX Wet-Shot jetted for 150 HP

4L70-
Corvette servos
Upgraded clutch packs
PI 3200 RPM stall converter

GM 10-Bolt 8.6" rear axle-
Superior 4.11 gears
Superior cold-formed axles
Detroit Truetrac differential

Suspension-
4/6 Flip-kit (lowering kit)
Caltracs

And god knows how many other parts.

Here is the video of the first start up-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdsUb...ature=youtu.be

Here is a pic of the dyno sheet from my friends FB-

Here is a video of it running a 12.5 @ 111 MPH all motor. Forgive the commentator, lol. It's our friend's little brother. -

It's tuned by us using the HP Tuner software and a laptop. It made 427 RWHP on the motor and 525 RWHP with a cold/empty bottle. Hoping to hit maybe 575 with a full bottle and the bottle warmer if we ever go back to the dyno.

Thanks for looking.

Edit: I don't own the truck. My friend is the owner and we built it and race it together. I have the Jeep and am working on some other projects, but I don't have pics or dynos yet, lol.

Lol, jeez! What kind of times is he running? And how did he hook?! Lol.

We're trying to get into the 11's all motor before we spray it. We're shooting for a high 10 at least but hopefully a 10.5 @ 12X.

We have caltracs on it and run a 28x10.5 slick on bogarts at the track, but they just opened it and the truck gets squirrelly around the 1/8th. We'll be hitting up SAR this weekend with some luck.

i want to ask my neighbor to run his fast back mustang against that guys truck since my neighbor runs 7.5 second 1/4 miles haha and a 1.1 second 0-60

Idk, but he looks like he's moving. I can't tell what kind of tires those are, but they don't look like slicks.

i have a 68 c10 with a built 468 BBC hoping to put down around the 500 range, and running a set of Mickey T sportsmans, i ran those on my first vehicle a 78 c10 long bed with a mild built (heads cam intake 1050 holley double pumper) plus basic ****. msd long tubes, stock 10 bolt with 4.10 locked and ran pretty damn decent, never went to the track but would keep up with high 11 low 12 cars on the street.

We used to street race more, but the truck won't hook at all unless it's on slicks. If you look at the dyno sheet, on the second to the last run it put down 525 ft/lbs of torque, lol.
