Default anyone know?

has anyone come across any thread or build of someone putting a 4.0L into an old flatfender? any pics or links would be great? anyone know what you would all have to consider or do to make it work?

Size issues come to mind. It's too tall and deep to fit in a Flatty engine compartment. It's tight getting firewall/radiator clearance with a V8.

Consider the fact that in order to fit an engine taller than a flathead 4 in a Flatty they had to raise the cowl and hood. 3B

now, a 4.3L V6 is what i always wanted to put in my Flatty. Never did and sold it about a year ago.

awesome. thanks for the input. i will look into that. i want to build a fairly stock looking flatty but with a larger than stock motor.

well does anyone have any builds than of the 4.3 or anything else for the flatty? im just curious and it would be cool to see.

I forgot to reply earlier. Yep, tons of Flatty builds on Pirate...

You'll come across a few using Toyota running gear also, which is another good choice.
