Default 87 crown victoria

a friend has one, and Im going to be changing its oil next week, and teaching him how to do it so he does not have to pay, it has a V8, how much oil does it need, I can ask at the parts store but I rather know before hand...

5 quarts if I'm not mistaken it should hav the 302 or the 4.6.

how come, it takes less quarts to fill up that V8 than our 4.0L motor?


his is 5. something liter engine

If it is a SBF it should hold 5q plus filter.

I think Jeep expected the 4.0's in their vehicles to see severe service on a regular basis and overbuilt them accordingly.

Jeeps generally seemed to be overbuilt in just about every regard. Their center console design could have used a little work, though. And on the older xj's: CUP HOLDERS!

Well, You have to remember that Chrysler got involved at some point.
