All righty then... thanks to all of you guys jumping in here with me, I was beginning to feel all alone in this "modern" world. Well, I thought I'd try to get some pictures up, but my camera and my computer aren't on speaking terms right now. So, I'll cheat a little bit and try to get my point across... This is NOT my car, but this is the same model that I am starting with. (I wish mine looked this good!)

...and although this is a Comet (same basic car, with slightly different adornments and badges)... this the concept that I'm shooting for!

And, I found this link http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...5146&showall=1 to a build-up of a Chevy II gasser, or a "street freak" as he liked to call it. It is a llooonnngggg read, but it's got lots of good quality pictures of the Jeep Cherokee front axle install I was contemplating! I'll try to get some good pictures of my car and post 'em as progress happens!

I'm big into AMCs and ramblers...I'll post a few of my collection.
78 Concord AMX full resto in progress

My 2 Gremlins, I-6 restored, and v-8 street sleeper
78 Pacer factory V-8
Some of our muscle! 69 amx and 71 Javelin
One of our true classics and the oldest we have: 47 Nash Ambassador

I can keep posting more of the collection if anyone is interested, don't wanna feel like i'm gloating or stealing the thread! I just have a severe love for the old cars and a problem with saying no!!

Sorry for the hi-jacking of your thread. I can't wait to see some pics rolling in of your progress. That Comet is badazz but I think I liked the Nova setup better.

My 1965 GT Mustang. It's got a 289 and 4 speed. Everything but the rear end, tranny, and body/paint has been rebuilt by my dad and I.

I do want to see how the Falcon turns out. A friend in high school had one we called Super Falcon, it was a 2dr about that same model, but was full tubbed with a 428 in it. Another guy near us had an MG Midget with a 340/dual quad tunnel ram, could barely see around the intake to drive it lol. I really miss the old school hot rodding these days too.

I worked at a machine shop with a guy who had a 73 javelin 360 4speed . He built a 401 for it that SOB would run . Used to **** the locals off getting beat by a kelvinator .
Mikes car had the same hood as the one in the pic and a rear spoiler .
