Are the oil seals in the turbos wasted? And what spark plugs are you using? Anything ignition on a Audi/vw should be Bosch, ngk or,bremi, anything else will make your head hurt

Check inside the intercooler/charge pipes, all the ignition coils are German as well? And no oil down in the plug holes from a leaky valve cover gasket?

Ps. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, just trying to cover some common issues with the Audi's

Some coils are aftermarket. The valve covers are sealed, no oil in the plug holes.

We had an a6 2.7t here a few months ago that had the same problem, I'm trying to remember what I did to straighten it out. I know the 2.8 n/a engines had issues with valves bending and springs breaking, which that motor is pretty close in design to the 2.7. If your up for it it wouldn't hurt to pop the valve cover off to do a visual inspection, or do compresion test, just make sure you test the side with misfires a couple times and watch for differences in the same cyl.

Also wouldn't hurt to check Cam timing.

Yea I've gone through that already with the front clip pulled away and made sure everything lined up with the cam tool.
Thing is sometimes it runs good and then it runs bad. That's what's making me suspect electrical issues. I know the cam sensors are good to btw.

We had a 2.8passat that did exactly that, misfired like a sob, but sometimes ran smooth as butter, generally when it got warmed up it would smooth out, but not always. Was valve springs and valves
