So I am hoping the swap is possible. I've been told everything will match up by the guy I am purchasing the twojeeps from. Once again the donor vehicle is a 1992 cherokee 4.0 HO into a 1989 Laredo. Thanks for any info or links any of you may provide.

 

While I haven't done this swap (or any swap), if its a 4.0 going into another 4.0 or 2.5, then you should be fine. The most you should run into in my knowledge is electrical linkages not matching. Someone else may be able to chime in on the issue.

Also, it might be worth posting this in the OEM xj help section instead of the non-xj section.
