Since my Grand Cherokee is done for the time being I have moved onto my new project. My 2001 F250 4x4 tow rig.

When i first picked it up back in June

Few weeks ago I put on a leveling kit

Which worked out for me raising the front higher than the rear

So I decided to ditch the stock 2" rear blocks and install a 4" block

I'm very happy with they way it

Then the tires started looking too small and finally decided to order rims and tires.

There was only one style of rims I could go with Rockstar XD only the coolest rims made

unfortunately two rims were damaged (worse of the two)

Tire Rack made it right tho, they said they could send me out two brand new rims guaranteed to be prefect, or pay me for the damages. I liked the offer they gave me so I'm keeping the rims

For tires I had to go with Nitto Mud Grapplers

I know everyone is going to say "they wear fast" "have fun rotating tires"
But the truck isn't a daily driver and doesn't get very many miles a month.

Blocks can be good or bad depending on what you are doing. If i had a Cherokee that is going to be a trail rig and abused, I wouldn't not put blocks on it, I would be getting leafs. But for a ride that is mainly going to be on the streets and taken off road once in a while but nothing extreme like a jeep would see blocks work perfectly fine. Anyone I've talked to says blocks will be fine with what I'm going.

And unfortunately its not a 7.3 its a 5.4 gas motor.
The story of how i got the truck is I traded my only single cab 2wd f250 for a nice YFZ450 and a week later I traded the YFZ for the truck I have now. So I cant complain or be too picky about the truck. Eventually the rust will be fixed and it'll be painted a darker blue.

Nice buy. I just purchased a 2000 F350 Dually with the 7.3 and a 6 speed. Im not modding it too much since I use it to pull the jeep and for work. Im getting ready to put new tires on it. Those Rockstars are a pretty sweet wheel though! They are kind of played out and a LOT of people have them, but I still like them and would buy them if I had a SRW.

I plan on using mine for work also and pulling the jeep, thats why i didn't go over the top with it. I think it'll be nice once its all together. I didn't want something that I need to get a step ladder out of to get in and out of the bed lol

as being played out... yeah kind of... I see more of the black and silver Moto Metal or Dick Cepek then anything.

Not yet :-(
My truck is at the mechanics house getting the tranny rebuild and I was going to put the rims on yesterday after work but he said "its family night" but I could come back tomorrow night and the rims on.... Thing is I'm working till midnight tonight, so i guess It'll have to wait till tomorrow

Wheels and tires look great together, glad I went with the Nittos

And for the damaged rim, you really cant tell anything happened to it with the tire on. Only way you will see if is it you were washing the wheels

Also, dont think and drive kids...
