Default 2000 cougar no power

My buddy has a 2000 Cougar automatic and he was driving it the other day and lost all power. I mean ALL power. Even the clock went out. We have checked all the fuses, relays, grounds, starter, alternator, battery, everything electronic we can think of. Only thing left is a security system which he said he isn't even sure if it has one because he has never used it or heard it go off. Any ideas?

Find out if it has a chip key or not...Does it have any aftermarket wiring... Did everything you check out come back good... did you try a battery out of anyother car... etc??
