My friend bought a trooper a week or so ago here's my thread for his build. We started by ripping the carpet out.

Looks like a pretty clean and straight body on it! What's your friends plans for it?

hopefully straight axle for first plans. those front ends have no flex abilities. my friend had one and the rear suspension was great but the front might as well have had metal tubes for shocks.

Pretty much. My friend knows troopers in all of their variations and forms and he says you have to cut and weld the front end to lift it. Its a progressive build, starting with revamping the interior. Im installing all new speakers and subwoofers for him.

Sounds like a plan! I know that Pirate has a good technical and build section for them. Hope you keep us updated on the progress of it!

We gave it a new name: "The Sex Panther" and laid out all of our detailed plans for tires and ground clearance.

Its a total nod towards the movie" Anchorman" lol but we're gonna fit 32"s or 33"s to give a couple more inches to the already impressive clearance. Its gonna be a safari runner by the time we're done with it. We also are going to rhino line the interior 5-7 inches up

It'll be a long build process so you've got about 3 or 4 months of eye candy ahead haha

Even then it'll maybe only be half-done.

Not sure if you or your friend is familiar with this store or not but you guys should check out Independent4x.com. They are located here in Ashland, Va. and are Isuzu friendly. Pretty good shop to do business with and VERY builder friendly. I have used them in the past and will be using them again.

Hope this helps ya out.
