The "Battery Not Charging" warning has started coming up on my wifes suburban. I went thru and checked all my connections first off, then limped it home. Im wondering 2 things. Can the voltage regulator be replaced on it? And, all of the connection positions on all the alternators for this truck have the same picture on the O Reilly website. The descriptions for each one have a different "clocking" position posted. Im just wanting to make sure that I get the right one. What exactly does the "clocking" refer to? The position of the connections on the back of it? Im thinking this is the answer, but I dont want to purchase the wrong one and have to go thru the trouble of exchanging it, especially this close to Christmas. I need to fix and forget if you know what I mean.

Just replace the alternater. It should be straight forward and easy to do.
