Default ZJ radio issue

Hi guys just having an issue with my stock radio
The display thing that should display the CD song track, or radio station I'm listening to is not working I have to go by guessing what station I am on and what track I'm listening to is there anyway to fix this?
Would it be better if I just got a deck like a pioneer?

I would have to say just upgrade to a new deck but it also depends if you have the infinity system.

You can swap out the head unit on the infinity system. Just be sure to use the preamp out on the wiring harness otherwise your speakers won't play.

On the factory wiring harness there will be a wire (blue and white I believe) that says preamp out. You want to ensure that is hooked up to the factory wiring harness, I believe it connects to the power antenna wire (blue). I'm only like 95% sure thats what I did as it was a few weeks ago. When you buy a wiring harness adapter it will give the instructions in there.

Ok thanks man, looks like this deck swap will have to wait a while. Just bought a set of baja lights for the jeep today couldn't resist can't wait to throw them on
